About Us / Daniel Faircloth, PhD

Daniel Faircloth, PhD

CTO and Board Director

Dr. Faircloth is Founder and CTO of Nullspace. He is also a co-founder of IERUS Technologies, a 200+ employee defense contractor supporting development of cutting-edge US government technologies ranging from hypersonics to radars.

Dr. Faircloth is internationally recognized expert in high-fidelity EM simulation methods, RF material measurements, and EM design optimization.  He has overseen more than 65 research and development contracts for the US government totaling over $32M in funding for advances in electromagnetics and multi-physics simulation, novel multi-/wideband antennas and phased arrays, machine learning, and signal processing.  He has given numerous conference presentations in both international electromagnetics and defense-related forums.  He has taught numerous short courses in GPU acceleration, design optimization, and radar cross section reduction and is co-inventor on 5 patents or patents-pending.

The technology developed under Dr. Faircloth’s leadership, now part of the Nullspace ecosystem of products, have enabled companies to solve some of the most challenging problems in radar, antennas, microwave devices, and quantum computing.

Dr. Faircloth holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. His doctoral work focused on application of advanced computational electromagnetics methods to the autonomous design and optimization of novel RF devices.
